As part of the BHC’s Theme Year Programming series: “Black Appalachia and the Search for Nowhere”, panelists will present research on Black life and culture in the Appalachian region, bringing fugitivity and marronage into conversation with Black Appalachian studies.
The symposium will take place on Thursday, Feb. 12th in the Great Room of Hildreth-Mirza Hall, 760 Fraternity Road in Lewisburg PA. Panel 1 is at 10am and Panel 2 at 1pm, with a post-panel reception and concert at 430PM.
